Moti Mahal

The Nawabi taste of Murshidabad

At Moti Mahal you're not just a guest; you're family, and every dish is served with love and care. The restaurant and bar sit on the top floor, air-conditioned throughout — eighty seats in the dining room, forty more in the bar, and windows on the grounds from both.

Most people begin with the thali, veg or non-veg, from ₹149. If you'd rather eat at home, we deliver free across Lalbagh and the areas nearby — order on WhatsApp and it comes hot.

Celebrate

Two halls, and a garden that takes the overflow

Two air-conditioned banquet halls seat up to 200 between them. Outside, the landscaped garden was laid out for exactly this — weddings, receptions, birthdays, and the kind of evening that needs room to spill outdoors. Moti Mahal caters all of it.

Things to do

Eight reasons not to leave the grounds

Boating

Out onto the water from the resort's own bank, in the cool of the morning or the last hour of light.

Fishing

A rod, a quiet stretch of bank and most of an afternoon. Nobody will hurry you.

Pearl farming

Motijheel means pearl lake. We farm them here, and you can see how it's actually done.

Barbeque area

A fire, a grill and a piece of the lawn to yourselves once the sun is down.

Badminton court

Best played in the cool hour before dinner, when the light goes gold.

Toy train

A slow loop of the grounds. The children rarely settle for a single turn.

Dragon train

The toy train's louder, faster cousin, and the one they ask for second.

Children's park

Swings and climbing frames, within sight of the lawn seating so you can sit down.

Services

The quieter things

Free Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi in a resort is no longer a luxury; it's an essential part of feeling at home.

Free parking

One of those unsung luxuries. Space for forty cars, and you are under CCTV surveillance.

Room service

Meals brought up, so a room can stay a sanctuary for as long as you want it to.

Reception

Someone at the desk who knows Murshidabad and will tell you what's worth the trip.

Landscaped garden

Open space for guests to relax in, and ideal for event management and social gatherings.

Pool — coming soon

Somewhere to refresh the soul and renew the spirit, away from the daily pressures.

Laundry — paid

Same-day wash and press on request, so you can travel light and still turn out well.

Housekeeping

Rooms kept turned out daily, so the sanctuary stays exactly that.

On the horizon

A refresh, in progress

Concept renders for the next phase of the property — a redesigned reception, a new look for the banquet hall, and a refreshed room interior. Not yet built; a preview of the direction we're headed.
